# Better PDF

> Better PDF is a fast, native PDF editor for Windows, macOS and Linux that lets you view, edit, annotate, fill in, sign, redact and merge PDFs on your own computer, without uploading them. It is made by JCR IT Services Pty Ltd, trading as JCR Computers, in Rouse Hill NSW, Australia.

- Platforms: Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit installer or portable zip), macOS 11 or newer (Apple silicon and Intel), Linux (AppImage and .deb).
- Free tier: viewing, markup, signing, form filling, editing existing text, OCR and page tools, saving documents up to 5 pages. No account needed.
- Pro: A$8.25 a month billed yearly (A$99 a year), or A$9.90 month to month. Removes the page limit and adds true redaction, merging, flattening forms, export to Word and Excel, and batch processing. A 14-day trial can be started in the app.
- Teams: A$7.40 per user a month billed yearly (A$88.80 a year), or A$8.80 month to month, minimum 5 users. Email licensing@betterpdf.io for 25 or more seats.
- Prices are in Australian dollars.
- Privacy: documents are opened, edited and saved locally. The only document ever uploaded is one you choose to send with Request Signatures (or to an AI provider you set up with your own key).
